Analyzing a portion of your Composition

Writer's Workbench allows you to analyze only that text which is highlighted in your composition.  This feature is useful when you have changed or added one or more paragraphs and would like to view feedback on only that text.

You must highlight at least 100 words to use this feature.

To analyze a portion of your document, follow this procedure.

  1. Highlight all of the material that you want to analyze.

  2. Press the Writer's Workbench Analysis Programs Button button on the Writer's Workbench Toolbar as you normally would to analyze your complete composition.

  3. Select the appropriate analysis and click OK.

You will notice the header of the analysis will reflect selected text:
